STEWARTSTOWN— With better snowmobile riding conditions from all directions around the Swift Diamond Trails in Stewartstown, crowds at the 2013 NH SnoDeo were up over the previous two years. Although a final head count was not available at press time, an unofficial tally showed that SnoDeo attracted more people to this year’s show.

Reports from vendors, snowmobile manufacturers and theNew Hampshire National Guard Mess Hall food tent showed that numbers were up over last year.

Ski Doo and Yamaha each reported well over 500 snowmobilers signed up for test rides on there 2014 and 2013 models. Both said they did more demo rides than last year.

Our snowmobile traffic was definitely up this year,” said Swift Diamond Riders Club president, Kevin Drew, adding, “This year we had more snowmobilers riding in than cars driving in. That’s a good sign that trail conditions are very good all around us.”

One new attraction at the SnoDeo drew snowmobilers to the event to try their hand at racing was a modified snocross time trial track. Austin Willis was the fastest overall rider, winning a $250 gift certificate from HK Powersports of Laconia and Hooksett.

Official dates for the 2014 NH SnoDeo have not been announced yet.  The Swift Diamond Riders Club is a snowmobile club based in West Stewartstown, NH. The club boasts nearly 800 members.

Named one of Snowgoer Magazine’s “Top 10 must experience snowmobile events” in the U.S.   The NH SnoDeo benefits the club for trail maintenance, as well as other club activities that promote snowmobiling in New Hampshire’s North Country.
