Releases Updated Impact Study
September 20, 2012
The numbers are out and it shows that snowmobilers have a $580 million dollar impact on the New Hampshire economy each year.
This represents over 5% of all the spending done by visitors to the state and supports almost 2,400 jobs.
The amazing part of this report is that all of this activity is due in large part to the dedicated volunteers who keep the 7,000 mile trail system in shape with funding generated mainly by the snowmobilers themselves.
The trail system is maintained without any contribution from New Hampshire general fund dollars, but still brings substantial economic activity into the state.
