Grand Opening Celebrated for OHRV bridge to Gord's Corner Store

MILAN, N.H. -- A small crowd gathered at the ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly built OHRV bridge at Gordís Market in West Milan. The bridge was constructed recently by volunteers of the Milan Tree Huggers and the White Mt. Ridge Runners. The North Branch Crossing bridge completes corridor D trail system that bypasses the highway and stretches from East/West Milan to Millsfield.

Gordy Roberge, owner of the land and the market, said that the bridge was built and erected in one 14 hour day. Donators and contributors include Chapman Scrap Metal and Recycling, Chapman Heavy Haul Div. LLC, Rayís Electric inc., Jericho Motor Sports, North Brook Outfitters, Cross Machine inc., Seventh Street Graphics, Leo Chaloux Excavating LLC, Town of Milan, Absolute Powersports, White Mt. Lumber, Central Paving, and the Milan Fire Department.

After Gordy Roberge gave a toast to the new bridge, his wife, Janet, cut the ribbon with a machete and a number of OHRVís lined up to cross the bridge that connects Rt. 110 A to Gordís Market and bypasses the highway. One of the rules for riding on a state highway is that the speed limit must be 40 mph or under
