The Columbia board of selectmen will hold a public hearing next month to gather input from residents on the use of four town roads for ATV travel.
The roads in question are 3.5 miles of Bungy Road from Kelsea Notch to Gray Road; one mile of Kelsea Notch Road from Nash Stream to Bungy Road; two miles of Gray Road from Bungy Road to Phil Monson's residence; and two miles of Sims Stream Road from Moren's Bridge to Route 3.
According to Metallak ATV Club president Craig Washburn, the roads are part of a larger loop. He said riders will be able to go on private land to get from Gray Road to Sims Stream Road, and from there they will be able to reach Stratford's ATV system. These portions will also allow riders to get to Errol through the trail system.
The meeting will be held at the Columbia town office at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8.
