Members from several ATV clubs, local ATV dealers and state agencies set up trailers and tents in front of the NH Hampshire State House to commemorate the first OHRV Appreciation Day. The purpose of the day was to thank the NH legislators who have passed several laws over the past few years to help OHRV clubs open up new trails across state lands, state roads and town roads. These laws allowed the creation of the Ride the Wilds system which connects various riding areas in Coos County into a cohesive network.
Members from the following clubs made the trip to Concord and helped out with serving food and answering questions from legislators: Androscoggin Valley ATV Club, the Great North Woods ATV Club, the Metallak ATV Club, the Milan Trail Huggers ATV Club, the Millsfield ATV Club, the New Hampshire ATV Club and the Sullivan County ATV Club. Dealers included HK Powersports and Freedom Cycle who showed off several new ATV's and UTV's and representatives from New Hampshire Fish and Game also attended.
Many thanks go out to the clubs and organizations who
staffed this event and to the 250+ legislators who stopped by and made this
event a great success. Here are some pictures from Thursday:
