NORTH STRATFORD — Gov. Maggie Hassan will cut a ceremonial ribbon at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28, to open the final segment of Phase 1 of “Ride the Wilds: 1,000-plus miles of interconnected ATV trails” at the North Country ATV gazebo.

The Governor wil also ceremonially sign four OHRV-related bills that she recently signed into law: SB-230 – UTV Definition; SB -231 – Codifying that a tractor is not a UTV; SB-231 – Reducing the trail speed from 45 MPH to 35 MPH and increasing the road speed from 10 MPH to 20 MPH; and SB-240 – a 10-day registration for out-of-state visitors.

After the ceremony, Hassan will take a short OHRV ride up to the “Bear Bait” lookout, according to Harry Brown, president of the North Country OHRV Coalition.  All club members of NHOHVA and NCOHRC, along with the general public, are invited to attend the morning events.

Hassan opened the first segment of Phase 1 more than a year ago during a celebration on June 15, 2013, at Coleman State Park in Stewartstown.
